Wyoming Golf Courses

Wyoming is a barren, but beautiful state that is located in the plains area of the United States. This state is home to one of the most famous tourist sites in the country and around the world. Yellowstone National Park, designated as such on March 1, 1872, is the world's first national park. This park features numerous geothermal features including the famous Old Faithful Geyser which is extremely popular with tourists.
Camping and fishing are two of the most popular activities in the park, but hunting is not allowed within park boundaries. Yellowstone has an abundance of wildlife and natural features that make for great photo opportunities.
Jackson Hole, a quaint mountain town near Yellowstone, is the most popular place for golf in the state. There are several golf courses here that are sculpted out of the forest areas. Arnold Palmer designed the Teton Pines Golf Club which opened in 1987. This mountain golf course is beautifully carved into the surrounding terrain. Arnold Palmer tends to design very player-friendly golf courses, and this one is no exception. This course can play long (7,412 yards from the back tees) but the thin air allows the ball to travel farther than at sea level.
Other great golf courses in Wyoming include Jackson Hole Golf and Tennis Club and The Powder Horn Golf Club.
