Wisconsin Golf Courses

Wisconsin is home to some of the most dramatic landscapes you will find anywhere in the United States. There is such a diversity of terrain due to the Great Lakes that surround this great state. Much of the state is covered by forests and farmland. Most of this landscape was shaped during the last ice age and can be very rugged in places.
Wisconsin is home to one of the greatest golf courses in the United States. Whistling Straits Golf Club is located on the shores of Lake Michigan. This course was designed by Pete and Alice Dye and has already hosted the 2004 PGA Championship. This course is a true links-style golf course and attempts to imitate the seaside links of the United Kingdom. The course tips out at 7,514 yards and is the second longest course ever to hold a major championship.
Other great golf courses in Wisconsin include The Bog, Spooner Golf Club and Eagle River Golf Club.
