Vermont Golf Courses

Vermont is one of the smallest states in the United States. It is known mostly for its dramatic scenery and it's delicious maple syrup. Vermont is also home to Lake Champlain, the sixth largest fresh water lake in the country. Canoeing, fishing, sailing and swimming are all favorite pastimes for visitors to the lake.

Many top designers have courses in Vermont, including Jack Nicklaus and Robert Trent Jones. Vermont has many different styles of golf courses. From mountain setting to sweeping valley courses there is an abundance of great courses to play. One of the best courses in the state was designed by Gene Bates. Green Mountain National is located in Killington. During the fall months this course comes alive with color as the leaves start to change. Nothing is more dramatic than playing golf in this fiery setting.

Other good golf courses in Vermont include Country Club of Barre, Neshobe Golf Club and Crown Point Country Club.
