Utah Golf Courses

Utah is located in the western part of the United States. This conservative state has held the spotlight recently as the host of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. Salt Lake City underwent a dramatic facelift in preparations for these games. Salt Lake City is home to Temple Square, one the most impressive architectural features in the city. This area is home to the prominent LDS Church which calls Utah home.
Utah has many different climates depending on which part of the state you are visiting. In the southern part of the state you will find a desert landscape. Zion National Park is located in this area, with natural red rock formations it is truly unique in the country. There are interesting formations that can be found no where else. Arches National Park is one of these parks.
Golf in Utah is just as varied. The courses in the north part of the state are tree lined but flat. The courses in the north are considered traditional style golf courses. Valley View Golf Club is one of the nicest courses in Layton, UT. This challenging layout has numerous water hazards and tree lined fairways. If you head toward the southern part of the state you will be greeted by desert style golf courses. One of the best golf courses in Utah is Coral Canyon Golf Club. This course recently underwent a renovation that added several tournament tees to make the golf course even longer than before.
