Massachusetts Golf Courses

Massachusetts is the state where the first European settlers landed in New England. These early settlers were the Pilgrims and the Puritans. Much of the culture and society of this region can be traced back to these two groups. Massachusetts has long been the site of revolution and revolt. The first battles of the American Revolution were fought in this state at Concord and Lexington. The Boston Tea Party also took place in this great state. Much of the politics of this state has been dominated by the Kennedy Family. This powerful political family has produced a President of the United States and several Senators.
The geography of Massachusetts is consistent with states located on the eastern coast. There are wetlands, coastlines and upland rock. The soil in this area is very poor and not conducive to growing crops or livestock.
Many of the golf courses in Massachusetts are built within dense forest of deciduous trees. Cyprian Keyes Golf Club has long been one of the top golf courses in the state. Many of the most renowned golf courses of Massachusetts are private golf clubs. The Country Club in Brookline has played host to several major championships.
