Louisiana Golf Courses

Louisiana has seen some hard times in recent years. Hurricane Katrina devastated the once joyful and prosperous community of New Orleans. Mardi Gras in New Orleans, with its influx of tourists, was a major boost to the state's economy. Slowly but surely this community is banding together to return to their former glory. Tourists are starting to return to their once-familiar playground. Louisiana has so many activities to offer, including gaming, hunting, fishing and a myriad of outdoor activities.

Louisiana has a distinctive culture and society. Much of that society in the south part of the state is based around the proliferation of the swamp areas. From this area, and French influence, we have been introduced to Cajun cooking and Zydeco music.

Golf in Louisiana is equally as impressive. The PGA Tour visits this state every year for the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. This tournament is played on the TPC Louisiana and is open to the public. This is a great opportunity to experience a course that the pros play. Playing golf in the south is different than in northern parts of the country. The land tends to be flat and hazards usually consist of numerous bunkers and water hazards. Other great golf courses in Louisiana include Gray Plantation, Koasati Pines Golf Club and Copper Mill Golf Club.
