Illinois Golf Courses

Illinois is home to the "Windy City," Chicago. This is the largest city in Illinois and is bustling with some very exciting things to do. Chicago is home to a thriving entertainment industry. Oprah Winfrey produces her show from Chicago along with television icon Jerry Springer. In addition to television shows Chicago is also home to lavish Broadway Musicals that grace its stages. Championship golf is no stranger to the state of Illinois. The state has hosted no less than 19 major championships spread over several different golf courses. The PGA Tour makes two stops during the year in Illinois. Cog Hill has played host to a PGA Tour event since 1990. There are four courses at Cog Hill with the most famous being the "Dubsdread" course.

Other great golf courses in Illinois include Annbriar Golf Course, Balmoral Woods Golf Club and Kemper Lakes Golf Club, all of which are open to the public.
