As a result of a great marketing campaign Idaho is most famous for the potatoes that it grows. Idaho produces 1/3 of all the potatoes in the United States, but Idaho is also home to some of the most rugged mountains in the country. There are numerous mountain ranges that cut through this beautiful landscape. Idaho has a varied climate that includes dry, hot summers and humid winter months. Idaho is located only 300 miles from the Pacific Ocean, which moderates temperatures during the winter months.

Idaho is home to some very scenic golf courses. With pine trees and mountain terrain it is not hard to envision some of the breath-taking views you will experience in Idaho. One of the most famous courses in Idaho is the Coeur d'Alene Golf Club. This 4 Diamond rated resort is home to the original floating green. The par-3 14th hole has a green that floats out in the middle of the lake. The distance of the shot will vary depending on where they place the green. The rest of the course is just as spectacular.
