Colorado Golf Courses

Colorado is home to some of the best skiing anywhere in the world. Every year the ski resorts pack the crowds in with their difficult slopes and great snow conditions. In addition to skiing there are numerous other winter activities your family can participate in, including sledding, ice skating, ice climbing and snowshoeing.

During the summer months Colorado is home to a full schedule of festivals and sporting events. Denver hosts three professional sports teams. The Colorado Rockies, Denver Nuggets and the Denver Broncos all call Colorado home. All of these teams have had success in their various sports and there is always a game to catch.

Golf is a whole different animal in the Colorado Rockies. With the high altitude the golf ball travels much further than in other states. The International golf tournament was a mainstay of the PGA Tour and gave the golf fans a chance to watch some of the longest hitters in golf. Playing golf in the mountains further enhances this distance effect. Courses like Breckenridge, Vail Golf Club and Keystone Ranch let the average golfer hit the ball with distances like a touring professional.
