Golf in the middle of nowhere is still a great game

Out at the California-Nevada border lies one of the greatest golf courses that Nevada has to offer, the Lakes at Primm Valley Golf Club. Just a short 30-40 minute drive from the Las Vegas Strip, but every minute of the drive is definitely worth it, if you plan on playing the Lakes. The Lakes offers wide fairways, large greens and is always in excellent condition. While I stood there looking out over the first tee, I just couldn't get over how this beautiful golf course exists out in the middle of nowhere. All this lushness right in the middle of the desert, Tom Fazio really did wonders with the natural surroundings of the Lakes Course. The finishing stretch of holes on the Lakes Course will definitely challenge any golfer. Water comes into play on two of the final four holes.
