LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - July 2007
At the start of July, 2007, Tuscany Golf Club in Las Vegas, Nevada was forced to close three greens on the golf course in order to do some maintenance. During this process, the playing surfaces were moved forward and temporary greens were used on these holes. The bermuda grass from the overseed was not coming in as well as they would have liked and the superintendent decided three of the greens on the golf course needed to be resodded.
C.W. Woods is the Golf Operations Manager at Tuscany. He indicated that the program was extremely successful. The greens reopened on July 21st. This is great news for people who love Tuscany Golf Club.
This Henderson, Nevada golf course is relatively new to the Las Vegas golf scene and has been a favorite of locals since it opened in 2003. Designed by Ted Robinson, the golf course is very player-friendly and has always been in good condition. The resodding of the greens will ensure that they are in mint condition during the peak season this Fall.
