Photo by PGA.comMany people may never have heard of Champions Tour player Denis Watson. Denis Watson is a native of South Africa and has been on and off the tours for many years. His break-through season came in 1984 when he won three tournaments including the Las Vegas Invitational.

This week marked the start of a new life for Denis Watson. Plagued by injuries that resulted in many years of not playing much golf, Denis Watson is playing his first full season on the Champions Tour. He has already had several top 10 finishes including a tie for second at the Turtle Bay Championship in Hawaii.

His victory this week at the Senior PGA Championship has been well worth the wait. The tournament was contested over the very difficult Kiawah Island Ocean Course. This golf course also played host to the 1991 Ryder Cup Matches. Eduardo Romero was leading the tournament until he took a double bogey on the par-3 14th hole. At that point Watson took the lead at 9 under par. He would hold on to the lead closing with a final round 68.

Watson attributes his victory to a change in attitude. He has always lived his life with a " I'll believe it when I see it" attitude. Lately he has changed to a more positive attitude. His new philosophy is to " Believe it than you will see it. " It doesn't seem like a dramatic shift but the implications can be life changing as Denis Watson has shown us. The power of determining your own destiny is not new but recently there has been a renewed interest in who we shape our lives. The Secret is the latest in these life modification techniques.

I am sure that with his new attitude he will continue his winning ways. Hopefully we will see Denis Watson in the winners circle many more times this year.

Jack Nicklaus is once again hosting his annual tournament in Ohio. The Memorial Tournament is one of the most prestigious tournaments on the PGA Tour. All of the big guns will be out to try and capture the title. This year the golf course has been lengthened in order to provide more drama during the tournament.

Tiger Woods is the favorite to win this golf tournament. He has won this event 3 previous times from 1999-2001. No other player has ever won back to back titles at the Memorial, but Tiger Woods managed to win three tournaments in a row.

Tiger Woods has been playing good this year but there are several players who could challenge him for the title. The field is loaded with the top 10 players in the world and the competition is going to be fierce.
