PGA Expo- Introducing New Products

The PGA of America is once again holding it's Fall Expo at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. This year the Expo is being held from September 11-12, 2007 and is an opportunity for PGA Professionals and buyers to see the new products that will be available in the golf industry.
All of the big names in golf merchandise were on hand to show the latest and greatest products their companies have to offer. Several recent contestants from the Golf Channel show "Fore Inventors Only", were on hand to push their products to golf course buyers. Clothing and golf related gifts are some of the other big participants in the show.
As I was wandering around the convention center there were three products that really caught my eye. These products will help the average golfer improve their game and make them look better in the process. The first item that really interested me was the K-Vest. This is a product that will soon be a standard piece of equipment for your local teaching professional.
Using this vest students will be able to see various positions in their golf swing at different points. The vest consists of three parts, a shoulder harness, waist harness and golf glove with a sensor on it. After warming up, the computer will take a reading to give you a personal "0" setting. From there it will measure where your shoulders, hips, and hands are at various points in the swing.
Once that is finished, you and your teacher will be able to identify what areas of the swing you will need to focus on. The great thing about this product is that is combines motion sensor, video lessons and drills all in one program. Look for this product at your local golf club - it is sure to improve your game. Further information can be obtained at www.K-Vest.com.
One of the most difficult parts of the golf game is putting. The Sure Putting Training System is a great way to for the average golfer to quickly and effectively improve their putting stroke. The main component of this system is the Laser Pointer that attaches to any hat brim. The makers of this product have also designed a "mouse pad" style training platform for the laser pointer to navigate.
If you have any unnecessary head motion this will show up as the red laser moves around the pad. The system also comes with a putter guide that lets the player feel the correct path of the putting stroke. Included in the set is a putter with a mark on it to identify the sweet spot on the putter. The location of this dot might just surprise some golfers. You can get more information at www.sureputting.com.
The last product that really caught my eye was Daphne's Headcovers. This was one of the most entertaining products i saw anywhere in the show. Daphne's Headcovers has a wide selection of headcovers that include various dog breeds, ocean animals, fish and other golf-related creatures.
One of my favorite products they make is Birdie the Ball. This large replica of a golf ball wears a hat and has a beak. The headcovers are made of the highest quality materials and are sure to turn heads at the golf course. For further information go to www.daphnesheadcovers.com.
