If you are looking to play some world class golf courses between sessions on the blackjack tables, Las Vegas is the right place to visit. Las Vegas, NV is home to some of the most scenic and fun golf courses you will find in the country. Many of the top designers in the golf course design business have put their footprint on the desert landscape surrounding Las Vegas.
A steady trend in Las Vegas is to build resorts that feature several golf courses on one property. A perfect example of this is Lake Las Vegas. This resort development features hotels, homes and three golf courses. Jack Nicklaus and Tom Weiskopf both have golf courses that are open to the public at Lake Las Vegas.
Reflection Bay Golf Club and The Falls Golf Club are both considered to be among the best golf courses in Las Vegas. These demanding golf courses are in great condition and meander their way around the dunes that surround Lake Las Vegas. Typical of a Jack Nicklaus designed golf course, Reflection Bay Golf Club, features large fairways and big greens. If you can play a high fade you will like this golf course.
The Falls Golf Club is Tom Weiskopf first golf course to be opened in Nevada. He has designed a marvelous golf course with some of the most dramatic views in Lake Las Vegas. The view of the entire Lake Las Vegas Resort from the 12th green and 13th tee are a definite picture opportunity. This golf course also takes pride in maintaining great playing conditions and over the top customer service.
Both of these golf courses feature a fore caddy program that will provide a caddy for each group. These programs tend to be seasonal but they are well worth the added expense and will help your group more fully enjoy the day.
These two golf courses rank among the top golf courses in Las Vegas for several reasons. They are both good tests of golf. No matter what your handicap level you will be able to play a set of tees that will challenge your game. Both golf courses have great customer service. From the time you arrive on the property until the time you leave you will feel like a king. They both offer a fore caddy program. The addition of the fore caddy program has propelled these golf courses into a league by themselves.
TPC Canyons is one of the tournament golf courses used by the PGA Tour during the Frys.com Open. This PGA Tour event is played every year in October in Las Vegas. The TPC Canyons is a great golf course that is always in tour condition. Several of the PGA Tour players live in Las Vegas and the golf course is always ready for them to simulate the conditions they play regularly on the PGA Tour.
This golf course has wide fairways and difficult par-3's. If the wind starts to blow on this golf course a round in the 70's will be a great score. Although the fairways are wide the greens have been designed to punish a poorly hit shot.
TPC Canyons also features a fore caddy program that is offered mainly during the winter months. If you would like to have a caddy any other time of the year please let the golf shop know prior to arriving for your tee time.
Las Vegas is full of great golf courses. The golf courses in Las Vegas feature the Who's Who of golf course design. No matter who your favorite designer is or the style of golf course you favor, there is something for everyone in Las Vegas.
