Tom Weiskopf

Tom Weiskopf was one of the most successful professional golfers during the 1970’s. His fluid swing won him a lot of money and numerous titles on the PGA Tour. Since starting his golf course design career he has managed to finish roughly 40 golf courses. Some of them have received great acclaim and one hosts a European Tour event.
Las Vegas is home to the Falls Golf Club located at Lake Las Vegas. This challenging golf course features many of the characteristics you will find on a typical Tom Weiskopf design.
Tom Weiskopf has always been a traditionalist and he feels the same way about golf course design. He likes false fronts on his greens and he will always include a par-4 that can be reached in one shot. He uses mounding very conservatively but prefers to use the natural slope of the terrain.
Other courses designed by Tom Weiskopf include The Ridge at Castle Pines, Quail Hollow Course and Shadow Glen Golf Club.
