Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley have teamed together to form a golf course design company that is quickly become a stand-out in golf course design. Recently they were recognized for their outstanding golf courses in Asia.

Both Schmidt and Curley started their careers under the watchful eye of Pete Dye. Taking those lessons, they branched out and started building golf courses on their own. The results have been astounding. In Las Vegas, Nevada they have completed two projects on their own. They are Bali Hai Golf Club and Siena Golf Club. Both courses are in top condition and a test for the golfer.

One feature of both of the golf courses is the use of bunkers to line the fairways. These are not the typical fairway bunkers, but are deep and difficult to get out of. Oftentimes the player is forced to chip out of the bunker in order to have a shot at the green.

Another feature of their golf courses are the large, undulating greens. Once on the greens you will have to be accurate if you want to make your par. Bali Hai has an Asian theme and feel to the golf course.

Other courses designed by Schmidt-Curley include Crosby National Golf Club, Mission Hills Golf Club, Goose Creek Golf Club and Canoa Ranch Golf Club.
