As you may have heard the awesome Eldorado Golf Club has been bought by a real estate mogul that intends to close the course to the public AND TAKE OUT THE OCEAN HOLES to build condos. A crying shame, but a reminder that ?He who has the gold makes the golden rule?.

The point is to PLAY IT BEFORE IT CLOSES! This course rewards great shots but can be punishing to those who do not manage their game properly, a characteristic of any great golf course. Shooting your handicap or better is a sign you played well and had a rewarding round of golf. So play it if you get the chance!

Eldorado Golf Club will be missed dearly on the Cabo golf scene though there are some other great options (Cabo Del Sol, Cabo Real, Palmilla, Querencia and The Raven). Eldorado the worldwide Nicklaus designed favorite will be open until the end of April. Then whatever it becomes, it won?t be the same course without the 4 ocean holes. Let?s just pray they keep Mr. Nicklaus in the loop to make the changes.
