Family Golf At Amelia Island Plantation

This year at the Masters, fans between the ages of 8-16 were allowed to watch the tournament for free when they were accompanied by an adult. There is nothing better than spending time with your family at one of the most popular games in the country. The Amelia Island Golf Club near Jacksonville, Florida, has a great special to expand on the theme of getting the younger member of your family involved in golf. The Family Tee Program lasts from May 26 through September 3, 2008.
Tee times can be made between 5pm-7pm and they will be in 15 minute intervals. They will have a special set of "Family Tees" set up that all members of the family will be able to tee off from. The idea of this program is to get more younger golfers interested in a game that not only teaches athletics but life lessons as well.
I remember some of the best times of my youth were spent on the golf course with my father. Sadly, he is no longer able to play golf, but the memories still last. It is important to cherish the small moments we have with our families and build a much stronger bond with them.
The great thing about this program is that adults are only $35 and children under the age of 15 play for free. Now you really have no excuse not to bring your kids to the golf course. In the long run this will be one of the special moments of their childhood.
